The Jeffers Inn is only one mile east of Ennis, Montana, off of hwy 287, in the small settlement of Jeffers. We are “just off the main highway” on paved roads.

The Jeffers Inn is located within walking distance of the Madison River. Often called the “Fly Fishing Capital of the World” the town of Ennis will be the starting point for all your activities on the Madison River. This “good-time” western town has good restaurants, bars, fly shops, antiques shops, art galleries, specialty shops, churches, realtors and fuel filling stations. The town is full of cowboys, anglers and outdoor recreationists. The Western flavor is for real here as the area ranch lands are still very much cattle country. There’s plenty of action along Ennis’s boardwalks in the summer and fall hunting seasons.

Directions

From Bozeman or Virginia City: Drive through Ennis on hwy 287, 1/2 mile out of town towards West Yellowstone, across the Madison River bridge. Look for the El Western Resort on your right (at mileage maker 48). The road on the left is Jeffers Rd. Follow the Jeffers Rd. another 1/2 mile … we are the second house on the left.

From West Yellowstone and the Gallatin Valley: As you approach Ennis, on hwy 287, look for the El Western Resort sign on your right and then the resort office on your left. The road to the right of the office is Jeffers Rd. Follow Jeffers Rd. another 1/2 mile … we are the second house on the left.
